WoW – Answering the Call

General Dawnstar watched the sun sink beneath the waters of Orgrimmar Harbor as his new officer, Rivendare, rode up beside him.

The pair were polar opposites.  Dawnstar was an Paladin. A proud and headstrong wielder of Light.  Rivendare was humble.  Bearing the curse of undeath, and wielding powers of the grave.   His dark gifts given to him by the long defeated Lich King. Odd a pair as they were, the two worked well together.

“How many?” asked the General.

“Not enough, but there may be more in the coming weeks.”  answered the Death Knight in a voiced that echoed his curse.

“I’ve lead my forces to victory countless times.  It might have been a rough go here and there, but we always ended up on top.”  Dawnstar watched the last light dip beneath the waves.  “Tell me then, who has shown the bravery to mak the journey with us?”

“An unlikely bunch to be sure.”  Rivendare began, but was interrupted by a deep voice announcing behind them “Serawk!, Last of the Brotherhood Healers will make this voyage with you Panzer Dawnstar.”

The Tauren, Serawk, stood at over 9 feet tall and his hoofs made the dock rumble as he strode up beside the General.  Mounted, Panzer met the old Druid eye-to-eye.

“Greetings to you Rivendare, The Undead Shade”  said Serawk “I have heard much of your bravery.”  The cursed Blood Elf nodded in thanks.

“It has been a long time you Old Bull.  Sure you’re up for this?  It’s a long way to Pandaria.”  Panzer questioned.  In response the Druid simply let loose bellowing laughter.  Serawk pulled forth his staff, entwined with living blossoms and brought it forth on the dock’s decking.  He tapped lightly three times on the deck.   Each tap reverberating deeper into the water below.  As the final sound faded into an echo, rose vines began to sprout from the Sea. The vines were winding there way up the dock’s support pylons.  Moment’s later the vines were in full bloom.

“The Earthmother has blessed me with vigor reserved for younger Tauren.  Besides, it was I you called upon to unseat that Tyrant in the north. I will fight by your side again.”

Rivendare plucked a fresh rose from the vine and placed it in his armor as two more individuals approached the docks.

“Is this where we cast off Darkmuscles?”  asked Rillifane, Esquire.  “I believe it is, I believe it is” answered the Holy Paladin.

“Here is the rest of your healing detachment General” commented Rivendare.  “Allow me to formally introduce Rillifane, a priest from Silvermoon City.  I’m sure you already know the Holy Paladin Darkmuscles.”

“Old friend!” shouted Panzer “It’s good to see you”  The two Paladins clasped each others wrists in a greeting of friendship.  “Who is this with you Dark?  A Priest, Rivendare says.”

“You’re as sharp as ever Panzer, yes this is our third to compliment the Healing team.”  explained Dark.

“In a display of power Rillifane ignited the Light within him and sprouted wings from his back.  Hovering above the group, wings flapping, he said “Pleased to meet you General, your reputation precedes you.  It will be an honor fighting by your side.”

Dawnstar leaned over to Rivendare and whispered “Flashy entrance, I like him already.”

“You’ll do fine Priest, please take your place with us here on the Docks” instructed Panzer.  As Rillifane was settling in next to the crew an enormous explosion was triggered in the south.  The explosion was coming from Theramore.  Panzer’s skin was all gooseflesh and hairs standing on end.  “What in the Old God’s was that?!”  shouted Dawnstar.

“That would be the Mana-bomb going off in Theramore.  Which means…. ahh yes here they come”  spoke Rivendare while he calmly corrupted each one of the roses with grave rot, save the one on his lapel.  A silvery light split the air behind General Dawnstar and an arcane Portal coalesced as the silver light expanded.

“What a rush!” said the Orcish Rogue jumping out of the Portal “Did you see that explosion Mappy? t was huge! I could feel the arcane blast on our tails as we hit the portal.”

“Don’t blame me for that too!”  pleaded an Undead Warlock whom followed the Orc, his multiple minions jumping around and on him.  “I tried to explain the plan to you Sindrion, but you just wanted to stab all the guards.”

A third figure appeared. Flipping in a tucked backwards somersault out of the Portal.  The blood elf landed on his feet, crouching as he landed and steadying himself with his off hand.  Main hand, grasping a silver worked elfin bow.  “It is done Rivendare, just as Garrosh instructed.”  the Hunter softly spoke.

“Serawk, do you know what’s going on here?” exclaimed Panzer.

“It would seem the rest of your strike force has arrived General.”  commented the Tauren.

Before Dawnstar could continue his questions two figures could be seen riding up to the docks on war time wolf mounts.  Warchief Garrosh could be made out next to another Orcish warrior.  “It seems our final member has arrived Panzer.”  said Rivendare.

Hellwolf and Garrosh reigned to a stop before reaching the Zergadins.  Heated words were being exchanged between the two.  Garrosh swiftly drew his Warblade bringing it to bare on Hellwolf’s skull.  In an effortless motion the warrior deflected Garrosh’s blow.  Nodding with approval Garrosh mounted his war wolf and rode back to Orgrimmar.

“Care to explain that Hellwolf?”  asked Panzer.

“NO.”  Hellwolf answered.

“Shall we board the ship General?”  asked Rillifane.

“That’s only Nine.  We need to wait for the rest of our force” answered Panzer.

“This is all for now General. I said it wasn’t enough, but it’s start.”  spoke Rivendare.
