I was plugging away on my MP10 HC monk, at level 34, and realized he was pretty far behind the stats that my other HC MP10 chars had at that level (yes, I have a spreadsheet, I keep track :))
Oddly enough, I found myself not interested in dropping big bucks again on the AH to upgrade, so I started a new char.
Self Found MP10 Demon Hunter. I had tried this out a long time ago a few times, and found MP6/7 to be really my max for self found, but I have more experience now.
Holy crap, this is hard. It’s kinda fun drooling over any white upgrade though. I do wish there was a way to separate the money collected, because I’d like to buy vendor items with him. For now, I do plan on using tradeskills and keeping the mats seperate. Gold though, can’t be done. 🙁
He’s a whopping level 7. By now, any other normally twinked char would be 20 lol. I’m pretty sure that if I get hit just 2 times by anything I’m dead. GAME ON!
EDIT – RULES!
My self found rules:
1) No AH
2) No trading
3) No access to items I had in my stash previously
4) No grouping (unless upon the very rare chance I run across somebody who has another self found char)
5) Tradeskills are ok, using self found mats I will keep on me or put in a special spot in the stash
6) Vendor items are ok, since I’m not keeping track of gold found, and the only purpose of said gold found is either tradeskills or vendors
One last comment: My son and his buddy were playing together at our house tonight, on two computers, in this exact area I’m in (The Wheeping Hollow) and were at the same level, 6/7 DH/Monk. They’re on SC MP0 and having a blast, with every piece of armor being about the…uh…armor value, disregarding the other stats, and hoarding it all into the stash, etc. Typical boys.
Here I am, same level, biting my damn nails at every click of the map wondering how many mobs are going to pop up. 🙂
