I was very surprised, and out of breath, and terrified.

At some point just before entering the Act 1 Halls of Agony, you go into some big graveyard and then into a castle/manor. As soon as you enter, about 2 dozen mobs attack.

With some great luck, my 15 wiz managed to hold them off a bit, freeze, then run around them to the end of the room, where there are some very narrow stairways.

OMFG did I ever get lucky with that one. I had planned to just start kiting around the room (which would have gotten me killed most likely), instead, I held them all off by fighting just 2 or 3. Nova + 50% chance of another nova if a mob dies, diamond skins, blur (20% reduced physical) and ice armor (12% reduced physical, and chance to freeze on attack) gave me a lot of physical reduction.

Crazy fun. I think that moment, and an immediately following moment of a ton of mobs and a great bottleneck, are among the top memories of gaming. My #1 still is killing the Refrigerator.

EDIT: Killing that damned professor was also very satisfying. 🙂
