The Skeleton King has been Defeated, ON NORMAL!  RAWR!!!

Our first official scheduled Guild D3 run went well this past weekend.  I was joined by Andrew, “Tos”‘ from SWTOR, and his friend Pete.  My female barbarian, I’m a sucker for red heads ;), carved a path of destruction for the Witch-Doctor and Deamon Hunter in tow.

My initial impressions of D3 are good.  It’s gorgeous, if you’re into the corpse and fantasy thing, and it all feels like a well polished gem.  It’s been in development for over a decade, and you can really tell.  It’s a feast for the eyes and ears.  Gameplay can be as shallow or deep as you like.

D3 really shines when you group up.  There is no better gameplay experience than with a full group.  The story, when grouped, can become a whirlwind though if you’ve never played the current quest.  If you can all play at the same pace you would be hard pressed to find a better entertainment experience!

I’m predicting that D3 will become the go-to palette cleanser for many WoW players.  Finding someone to play with will be as easy as hitting your battle.net friends list and pressing ‘play.’  If you’re not one of the over 1 million players that got D3 for free, it’s a solid buy to compliment your WoW experience.

I’ve scheduled another D3 guild run this weekend.  Join in for some grouped up corpse squashing!
