WOW: The Pandarens that dominated Azeroth

For those who are wondering, “Who are the Pandaren?”, then I am here to help you! I took some time out to figure out what the hell these damn panadas are doing in my game and I came up with a few explanations for us “normal” folks! I found this snippet from Flanknet.com:

Lets start it off with this. The Pandaren are one of Azeroth’s oldest races. For ages, they have been rooted in myth and in mystery. Mentioned through out time, few have seen the race and many doubt they still exists. First mentioned back in the Warcraft games, Blizzard had placed them as a joke, or so the players thought. Pandaren, however, never died out of lore. The most famous of these Pandaren is one who traveled the world, the famous Brewmaster Chen Stormstout. Mentioned during Vanilla WoW and with a quest based around him, you find the remnants that Chen left of his ale in The Barrens.

These are the few and rare mentions of the race, and it shows one of how well hidden their people have been for centuries across time. However, soon the veiled mists will lift and expose the island. This is where our story takes place.

With this expansion, it goes back to the basics of Vanilla and has no main villain. The object is based around the conflict of The Horde and Alliance, as well as the newest faction of Pandaren. As the story starts, fleets will arrive and claim Pandaria’s southern shores as the mists mysteriously part after thousands of years. The ships would of stumbled on the world by accident, due to Garrosh’s naval warfare and the Alliance and Horde will disrupt the era of peace here.

However, the lightness and serenity of Pandaria is meant to contrast the warfare to come, and will be a great setting for a story of a clashing epic of peace and warfare, where much tragedy and heroism will take place. It is said that the war will rage across the land as areas are claimed by each faction. However, war on this land has a much greater cost then one would thing in this world.

In the land of Pandaria there lives a being called Sha. Sha is a force that feeds off negative energy. No better feeding pool of hate and rage and negative feelings then that of war. This is not the end of the woes, however, for old allies unite in these times. The Mogu and the Zandalari team together to reclaim their lands in this war.

In my full honesty, this seems like it trails back in history and is a setting for a new and fresh story. One where love, loss, honor, and battle will take place on a playing field that was never meant to be. This is the story of the mists of Pandaria, are you prepared?
