So you want to take on the new heroic space missions huh? Well your gonna need to know some things first. Here’s what I can tell you…

1. Acquire all grade 7 ship parts. The fleet vendor has some, the Daily vendor has some, and the rest you will have to buy off the GTN or from the HUtt Cartel.

2. Ignore the bonus objectives. At least while you are learning the ropes, focus on completing the main objectives first. Then when you really have it down you can start shooting for the bonus objectives, which usually offer little more than a codex entry anyway.

3. Be patient. Some of the hardest missions will take multiple attempts to get right. Once you complete a specific space mission it doesn’t reset for an entire week, Giving you plenty of time to forget when to blow your cooldowns. Which leads me to…

4. Know when to blow your cooldowns, a timely EMP burst or target immunity can mean the difference between success and failure.

5. Use your directional keys to dodge enemy fire. If you are trying to take out a frigate and it is banking through a hard turn, hold your ‘strafe’ button. This frees up your mouse to continue firing on target and avoids some of the damage the frigate can do. Speaking of avoiding damage…

6. Barrel Roll Barrel Roll Barrel Roll! Spamming space bar along with your your directional movement buttons when things get really hot goes a long way in helping you survive.

7. Keep your log from getting to full. With one mission resetting every day, if you don’t do these for a week and let them pile up it can be pretty daunting and time consuming to do them all in one sitting. So my advice is to do one every day. Soon you will be an Ace like me and be able to knock it out in one attempt with all bonus objectives completed. Good looking out.
