Grokk: WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTERS NAME?? Dinnah… WAIT NO GROKK!

WHERE DID YOU COME UP WITH NAME??

The inspiration for Grokk came from an Orc in the Horde town in Terrokar Forest named Drek. He’s this super awesome Orc guy that looks like hes a big deal: EXCEPT THAT HE CANT READ!

The name came from the Ogre in Shattrath sitting next to the Fruit Vendor who starts the quest chain to unlock Ogrilla. The word Grok also comes from the book Stranger in a Strange Land, and means “To understand”

Most of my name choices, if not made up on the spot, are taken from famous Vikings.

IF YOU COULD PICK ZONE TO LIVE IN, WHERE IT BE AND WHY?? Blade’s Edge has always been my favorite looking zone.

I would totally live either there or in Grizzly Hills.

GROKK LIKE CAKE. DO YOU LIKE CAKE? my favorite dessert, and what was made for me for my birthday by my dear mother, is called Double Chocolate Death. It is served in a bowl, and is as follows from bottom to top: Chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, whip cream, heath bar crumbles.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC YOU LIKE?: I like everything really… Metal, Techno, Orchestral, Classical, Jazz, some Pop, Death Metal, 80’s power metal, 80’s rock, some rap, and even Country!

TELL GROKK AN EMBARRASSING, FUNNY, OR FUNNY EMBARRASSING STORY FROM YOUR PAST!!! I really love Chinese food. So it should come to no surprise that when I was out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant with a huge group of friends and family, I started choking because I shoveled the food in too fast. I started slapping my hands on the table, and did the universal sign for choking, but everyone was too busy talking to notice! Finally my friends dad notices and starts giving me the Heimlich maneuver. A hocked up a piece of broccoli, but apparently I wasn’t done and hadn’t gotten it all… I knew there was a massive amount about to come up, so I bolted for the bathroom. I made it about 3 steps when I realized I wasnt going to make it… so rather than throw up in the main restaurant area, and rather than stain their carpet, I decided in split second decision making, that I would puke in the vent. It turns out later it was an intake vent.

THAT GOOD ONE…WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN BESIDES WOW?

I troll forums a lot at work, as well as watch a lot of Hulu. Psych, Community, Modern Family and I recently got into Law and Order: UK. My favorite show though is Top Gear: UK. Other than that I work out, go for a run when its nice, and I love going to pubs and arcades with my friends.

IF YOU WERE TO PICK A CHARACTER TO BE YOUR FAVORITE, ANY CHARACTER FROM ANY FILM OR TV SHOW OR VIDEO GAME OR BOOK, WHO WOULD IT BE?? WHY?? Easy. Hands-down, every time: Venom. My favorite character ever.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST VIDEO GAME?? Super Mario for the NES, followed closely by Duck Hunt.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?? The Prestige and Enemy at the Gates….and Saving Private Ryan.

IF YOU COULD PICK SOME PLACE TO VACATION, WHERE WOULD IT BE?? WHY YOU LIKE THAT PLACE? It’s a tie between Japan and Ireland. When we went to get my adopted sister from China, I got to see the Japanese sunset…from the Air Port Terminal… I never got the chance to set foot on Japanese soil, and I’ve regretted it ever since.

However, getting to drink a beer with my dad in Ireland has always been a dream of ours. I’d love to visit my heritage.

TELL US YOUR MOST EPIC WOW MOMENT!! I’ll always remember getting ganked repeatedly by the same feral druid while leveling my first character with my friend. We’d run into him randomly….we’d be turning in a quest: BAM! one shotted.

5 days later, running to get a new FP? BAM! outta no where.

Finally came across him later when I’d finally hit 62 and he was 64. I activated big red kitty and put everything I had into him and finally got my revenge. It was so sweet.

WHERE DID “GROKK SMASH!!” COME FROM?? My very first raid on Grokk, in Naxx with Voodoo Posse. I made a macro so that Grokk would say it whenever he popped Blood Fury (Orc racial) and Hysteria (Blood Talent Enrage spell) together.

I only used it once and was going to delete it when I got like 5 whispers from people telling me they loved it. It’s stuck ever since.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE GUILDIE?? ITS OK IF YOU DONT SAY PANZER. Hellwolf is awesome.
