Many players consider the Damage Dealing role an easy one. I have a different point of view about it. The Damage Dealing role is easily picked up, and slowly mastered. On Thursdays I’ll muse over how to master the art of Damage.
Are you feeling burned out? Are you feeling burned out and fill the role of Tank or Healer? Well then comrade, may I suggest a DPS holiday.
Burn out happens to everyone. Heck, I’m suffering a form of burn out right now. If you are feeling the same way, go stick your saber in something. Rip apart a pile of enemies using the highest velocity ammo you have. Do either in a DPS spec. The viscerally enjoyment from destroying a digital enemy is quite fulfilling indeed.
Crank it up another notch by queing up in GF in a DPS role. As a Tank/Healer you have intimate knowledge of what that role is going to do anyway. Blow your group’s mind by devastating the enemies before the tank thinks to engage them (Which means killing in the correct order).
Nothing is more satisfying than crushing your opponent, and knowing you did it with style. Moonlighting in the Damage Dealing Role is one done in silence as well. Don’t make a big deal of the numbers you toss out. Just say “Thanks,” while blowing the smoke from your blaster barrel.
What say you, Galaxy adventurers? Is the Damage Dealing role a sought after Vacation for Tanks and Healers, or just something left to the masses?
The Silverstrike Legacy can be found on the Bastion’s Vaiken Space Dock, in the company of his fellow Zergadins.
