Hello all! After a brief lunch with Sarya and Azhriaz I was informed that not everyone knows where or how the instances work! As an aid to this I can tell you that most if not all can be located on the Imperial Fleet Station! There are quests for each one that can be repeated, and can usually be obtained on site!

The first thing to realize is that while you are grouped with other people, and you are rolling to see who’s chat option gets selected, if the choice is between light or dark side options, you will always recieve the points for the option you picked, even if you lose and the story goes in the other direction.

As an example, if while in the Black Talon flashpoint, someone chooses to keep the Captain alive, and you choose to kill him, those who selected mercy will get light side, and you will receive dark side points. That being said, it is important to communicate with your group when making decisions! If you want to try out a different story, let people know!

The other instances can be found in the docking bay area on the Imperial Fleet Station, each terminal will give you the quest, and then you simply walk through the respective portal! The nice thing about this is that all the instances are right there next to each other!

Flashpoints are fantastic way to get gear upgrades. Grokk got 3 different pieces at 11 that he managed to use all the way until level 20 where he finally replaced them with PVP gear. The stories are intriguing and the combat is fun too, but my advice would be to only bring as many people as you need. If you bring more than whats needed… the challenge is removed completely.

Finally, it’s important to realize that while this is an MMO, the role checks are not nearly as strict for Flashpoints as they are in other MMOs. It helps, but it is not a necessity. As long as you have someone who can heal and take some damage, you’re good.

As for Raids, I’m not entirely sure as I haven’t tried them yet! More to come on this later!
