So you want to be a Sith Inquisitor…

First things first.  Hit up www.torhead.com, specifically this page if you are a veteran WoW player.

Now that we’ve done our homework lets get down to business.  Sith Inquisitors can become Medics, Damage Dealers, or Tanks.   They are all the same for the first 10 levels though.

You’ll start out with;

Saber Strike – One hit, generates force.

Thrash – Two hit combo, uses force.

Shock – Instant damage and 3 sec stun to weak enemies, uses force.

Mark of Power – Your Class Buff.

When attacking enemies do not charge in.  You are not a Sith Warrior.  You use a bit more flair and style when dealing with trash.

Start every pull with Shock.  Follow with SS.  Finish with Thrash.  (You did apply your buff right?)

Make sure you Seethe between pulls if you are low on health.

When you finish up the character creation, you’ll be given a cut-scene and your first mission.  Go kill some things!  /cheer

Before you head out, open your settings and find the loot options.  Turn ON auto loot and area loot.  Now find the enemy name plate options, turn that on.  Next, find the option to target the nearest enemy when in combat.  Thank me later.

When starting out you won’t know where you are going, but that’s ok.  Hit your world map and find the quest marker.  When you get there your class trainer will be near by.  Learn their location because you will level fast and you are gonna need;

Force Lightning –  6 sec. Channeled Damage, uses force.

Your new rotation is:

Start every pull with Shock. Channel Lightning.  Finish with Thrash.

For multiple trash mobs try concentrate on downing one at a time.  Don’t get used to this rotation because it gets classy at level 3 with:

OVERLOAD!!!!!!!! – AoE knock back and Stun, the bread and butter of Inquisitor rotation for the next 10 levels.

Your new rotation is:

Start every pull with Shock (try to cast it on the ‘ranged’ enemy), let the enemies surround you.  Use  Overload (this should kill the enemy you cast shock on).  Channel Lightning on the lowest health Enemy.  SS the next enemy to build up Force.  Finish with Thrash and SS on the remaining enemies.  You can also mix in Shock and Lightning at your pleasure.  The opening 3 attacks are the most important.  Until level 8 you don’t really need to visit the trainer to get the skills you can learn, but here they are.

At level 4 you will get:

Whirlwind – 8 sec CC.  Like ‘Sheeping’ in WoW most targets will regenerate rapidly.  Watch out because your Overload will break the CC.

At level 6 you will get;

Electrocute – Instant, low damage 4 sec, stun.  60 sec recharge.  Mix this into your rotation if you become overwhelmed with enemies.

At level 8 you will get;

Recklessness – DPS cool-down that increases the range of lightning and crit chance of direct damage force attacks.  Pop this when you are facing a touch enemy that you can burn down over distance.  Note; This ability takes on different attributes as you gain talents.

At level 9 you will get;

Unbreakable Will – Your go-to self stun breaker.  Good for PvP and pesky trash situations.

…So you reached level 9 and you are on the final test.  Eventually find yourself in a tomb with a bunch of tough robot enemies.  The area you fight them in will be surrounding a pit.  The walk way has no hand rail…  kite the robots to the edge, get them on the edge of the pit, and use overload…  mwhahahahaha!!!  Knock them into the Abyss!  You will have to kite them far, but just Line-of-sight the robots and they will come running.

After finishing that quest you will eventually get your one handed saber and marching orders to the next planet.  When you hit the Sith fleet you’ll get a bread crumb quest to the specialization trainer.

The next choice is yours….
