P’anzer – “What is that Zyley?”
Zyley – “This? It’s my Kolto Missile.”
P’anzer – “Is that code for something?”
Zyley – “No. Its a Level 20 Bodyguard Talent.”
P’anzer – “What is that goo you are injecting into your ‘missile’ ?’
Zyley – “That’s the Kolto. It vaporizes after I shoot it at you.”
P’anzer – “Is this how all the bodyguard articles will open?’
Zyley – “Pretty much, but you started it.”
Gather up Mercs! Your Bodyguard class is in session. It’s time you learned what it really takes to guard your clients. If you missed the last class, here’s the Holo.
If you’ve been slacking on your healing assignment Flashpoint Hammer Station you are way behind the curve. I’ll should just shoot you now for failing to complete it. Since you’ve pre-paid your credits for the course I’ll humor you.
At level 20 you can access the Kolto Missile Talent. You should be able to pick it right away, but if you’ve spent the talents elsewhere go pay to relearn them and pick up the Missile. It’s an instant cast no cooldown AoE heal with an HoT component to boot. Which can further be talented to increase all healing received.
This new talent means nothing if you aren’t familiar with your current skills though, hence the Hammer Station homework. If you haven’t run that Flashpoint, and are still rolling with a Bodyguard build, you are doing it wrong. Let’s go over the rotation again!
Activate your Combat Support Cylinder.
Build your CSC buff with by using Rapid Shots on a friendly target.
At 30 stacks of the buff, you can convert the stacks to Supercharge your blasters. This buff lasts for 10 seconds. With it Healing Scan‘s Cooldown is reduced by 100%, making it your go to spam heal. It also gives your Kolto Missile a shield component.
Under the effects of Superchrged Gas your rotation is simply to fire a Kolto Missile at the tank and then spam Healing Scan on all targets.
While not under the effects of Supercharged Gas you are back into a build up phase to regain the buff. Rapid Shots and Rapid Scan will build up the stacks back to 30 while in combat.
While this sounds simple, it’s not. Most clients are undergeared for these flashpoints or heroics. You’ll often pull aggro because of the amount of healing your are pumping out. It is advisable that you DO NOT ENGAUGE THE TARGETS WITH ANY TYPE OF DAMAGING ATTACKS. You are also cautioned to use your Energy Shield when ever your are under direct fire from the targets.
It would also be advisable when Healing a Pugged group to get the credits up front. I’m not even joking. The amount of time you will invest into a group that doesn’t know what to do is great. Take delivery of 2,000 credits for every 30 mins of your time.
You are a Bounty Hunter and you don’t work for free…
