Looks like we have gone and done it again, the spine of Deathwing was broken in half by our rag tag 10 man raid team last night! The group started the night with a brisk stroll through the now long forgotten Firelands. Although they disenchanted 95% of the total loot they did mange a clear of the instance in just over an hour making good time for some progression into Dragon Soul!

The Spine of Deathwing proved to be a considerable challenge for the group as one of our key healers, Mooyou, was unable to attend. Mappy came onboard in his place and even though his DPS was top notch, the heals were sorely missed. After several attempts at having undeadchade heal I switched to my Shaman and made the two healers we had left work extra hard. After about an hour and a half of getting our butts kicked – something clicked and Deathwing went for a spinning crash down to the ground. I got asked the other day why we are still running Firelands. I was still pretty surprised to hear the question so here is the official response:

“As everyone at this point knows; we still run the Firelands in the hope of obtaining the Legendary staff, Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest, for our long term member Undeadchade. Chade joined our guild back in the days on Uther when we still had trouble filling a 10 man raid! The item isn’t to boost his DPS but to show that we do appreciate his dedication to the community even through some of the worst times we have had. It’s a small pile of pixels, however, if it shows that we care we’ll put the time in.”

This is where Hellwolf throws his half finished Shadowmorne at my face. I know its there and we’re getting to it I swear!! haha
